MARC CHAGALL.

One of the South-facing windows was severely damaged by vandals in 1995.

These windows were executed by CHARLES MARQ at the ATELIER JACQUES SIMON studios, in Reimes. As the studio is still working and has the original cartoon, we decided to return the broken pieces and the remains of the panel to France, for repair.

1. Photograph of the original window prior to the damage, taken from our records.

2. The damaged panel. Measuring 25” × 19” | 64cm × 48cm. About 70% had been broken out.

3. Fragments in our studio for sorting.

4. The restored window, which we installed in December 1995.
